We won’t have normal youth group on January 29th. Instead, both jr. high and high school students are invited to help serve at our annual Teacher Appreciation Meal. If you are going to come, please be at the church by 5pm and wear black pants and a white shirt. (look nice!) If you have questions, please contact D!

There will be no youth group on February 5th because our jr. high group will just be returning from Winter Blast, and it is also the Super Bowl™. We will resume youth group fun-tivities on February 12th.

If you would like to keep up with what I am doing during my sabbatical, I will be blogging about it on my website, dikrankoundakjian.com. I am praying that God will use this time to be refreshing, and prepare me for what lies ahead. I would love for you to be praying for me during this time.

Winter Blast is our Jr. High winter retreat. It will be held at Hidden Acres Christian Center on February 3-5, 2012.

The weekend is filled with lots of fun, an awesome speaker and great worship. There will be times to go swimming, tobogganing, and hang out and have fun. This is always a highlight of the year!

The cost for the weekend is $85. Your registration forms and money need to be turned in to Pastor D by Sunday, January 11th.

Impact is the Central District’s winter conference for high school students.This year it will be held in Coralville, IA, and it is always a highlight of the year. This year it will be held January 6-8, so mark your calendars, and plan on joining us for this awesome event.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

On November 13th we will combine both the Jr. High and High School groups for a night of putting shoe boxes together to get them ready to ship out to children in need. We will meet from 6-8PM.

We need you to help gather toys and and candy to put in the boxes. If you need a list of things you should buy (or not buy), CLICK HERE. You can start bringing in the toys on October 30th and then on November 13th we will put them together. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor D.

The high school group has been invited by the Waids to spend a day at Little Wall Lake, tubing, swimming, laughing, eating and bonfiring (I made up that last word) on Saturday, August 13th. The fun will start at 3pm and will go into the night (after the bonfire).

Bring a towel and a swimsuit (a modest one please, 1 pieces or tankini’s, or wear a tee shirt and shorts you can get wet in).
