One of the biggest questions we can have in this life is “what am I here for?”. While God has called us to be different parts of the body, accomplishing different parts of His will, there are somethings that we have all been created to do. In this short three week series we will talk about what it means to have been created to love, worship and serve.

Come and join us as we explore some of the basic reasons we are here on this earth.

  1. February 14 – Created to Love
  2. February 21 – Created to Worship
  3. February 28 – Created to Serve

RemedyDrive

Remedy Drive is coming back to central Iowa! Come and experience a great night of music, January 22nd, Roland, IA! Remedy Drive is a four-brother band (David, Philip, Paul and Dan Zach) and has been cranking out their brand of music as a full-time indie band for the past five years. They are in the midst of their ‘Daylight is Coming’ Tour. With a message of hope for the searching and a desire to reach beyond a static life for something bigger, Remedy Drive combines a heart-on-a-sleeve sensibility with their one-of-a-kind live show – the Midwest has never felt like this before!  You may have heard a few of their songs, ‘Daylight’ and ‘All Along,’ recently on the local radio station 96.1.

Also opening up is local talent Levi Faas, a passionate young man with a heart for God and skills with the acoustic guitar.  The evening promises to be enjoyable and encouraging for your faith. It will also be a chance for local churches and youth groups to have a great time together.  Don’t miss it!

Fall Teaching Series

September 4th, 2009 | Posted in OLD EVENTS | No Comments

10commandments

This fall we will spend 10 weeks working our way through the the 10 Commandments. Today there are way too many people have no moral framework. Christians cheat, steal, cuss, drink and have sex outside of marriage just as much as the rest of the world.

Our goal is to help each student to understand the God is the creator and judge of what is morally right and point out how each of these commands impact our relationships with either God or other people.

We will be learning about each commandment on Sunday nights and then discussing them on Wednesday nights in our small groups. We are recording the lessons so you can hear them if you happen to miss youth group on Sunday, and you can download the “homework” for you small group study from this site as well. Just click here to go to the download section.
