Welcome to Youth Group!

If you will be in 7th grade next year, June 5th is the day you have been waiting for. We want you to join us in the jr. high group. The group meets on Sunday nights from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Sunday nights are high energy and lots of fun. There is food and games. We have some really great leaders and a great group of teenagers.

Also, you will be moving up into the Jr. high Sunday school class.  Dave Granzow teaches our Jr. high Sunday School class, and they just love him.

If you will be a freshman, It’s time for you to move into the high school group. Sunday, June 5th, will be the first day for you to move up. You do have a choice. You can attend the jr. high group until August, you can attend the high school group that meets 7:30 – 9:00pm, or you can attend both. The choice is all yours, but you should consider going to the high school group so that you can begin to build relationships. I am excited about what God has planned for the group this summer. I hope you are too!

Also on June 5th, if you attend our church, you’ll be moving into the high school Sunday School class.

We wanted to give you a list of dates that you should know about this summer. These dates are subject to change, but it should give you a good idea of what is happening. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.

We just wanted to get out some dates to you for some of the big events that will be happening in the next year so that you can begin to plan for them.

  • Impact 2012: This is the high school winter conference that is put on by the E-Free Central District. It will be held in Coralville on January 6-8, 2012. It’s going to be awesome! More info will be coming throughout the next several months, but get this on the calendar and pray about going with us! Watch the video from this past Impact.
  • Winter Blast 2012: This is our jr. high winter retreat, and it is a ton of fun! We’re not exactly sure of the dates yet, but it is usually the first full weekend in February or SuperBowl Sunday. Once we get more info, we will pass it on to you. Here’s the video from this past Winter Blast.
  • Challenge 2012: This event happens every 2 years. It is the national E-Free conference for students. Challenge will be held in New Orleans, and looks to be an awesome time. The dates will be June 29 – July 8, 2012. These dates might change a little on the front and back ends depending on travel. It is an awesome time, and has been a huge impact in the lives of the students who have gone. Here’s the video from this past Challenge.
